Benches
Many different sizes and styles available: 3ft to 8ft hickory spindle base benches, white birch and hickory hall rack benches, different sizes and styles available including woven and upholstered seats. Camelback birch or hickory settees with cherry or ash seats from $295.00 and many custom designed hall benches and bed benches are available. We have several artisans available to make nearly any style of custom bench for you. Quite often, we start with a drawing of a custom design, make the prototype and then improve it until it is the way we want it to look.
The "bear bench" shown below is a good example. We started with the four foot hall-rack bench, took off the coat rack, changed the angled back to a curved back and gave it a woven seat for comfort. The next change was that we upholstered the back and seat and added the classic "bear mountain" tapestry fabric to make it a very special piece of furniture for any home. The custom designed bear mountain upholstered bench is available at $895.00 and with leather upholstery, slightly higher.
