We design and build Adirondack rustic furniture and we take pride in every beautiful piece we make. Our artisans work year round and spend many hours carefully crafting each piece from selected seasoned wood in kiln dried hickory, maple, oak, cedar, antique barn wood, cherry, birch, and willow. Our furniture creations reflect the classic Great Camp style with ornate, intricate trimmings in twig and hand cut birch bark in spectacular sweeping designs or more rugged designs with a natural look. Our craftsmen spend many hours carefully selecting only the choicest wood so as to make our furniture reflect the natural beauty of the Adirondack Mountains. These furniture designs are made in our woodworking shops using 100 year old techniques of mortise and tenon construction and are not only artistic, but are made comfortable and sturdy for years of enjoyment.
We have many original furniture designs made in our woodworking shop that are in the classic Great Camp style or designs that are more simplistic and would reflect a rustic camp. One of our signature pieces is a design we call the Big Moose Chair with a matching ottoman. This unique piece is made with an extra wide seat area and side arms making this style chair very roomy and comfortable. We are now offering this very popular "Big Moose" style in a sofa or loveseat with your choice of our fabrics. Our upholstered sofas and loveseats are so comfortable you won't want to get out of them.
We have custom upholstery on all of our sofas, loveseats, ottomans and benches. Our upholsterer takes pride in every piece, making sure it is finished with the best workmanship. Choose your fabrics from a selection of traditional, lodge designs, leathers or hand woven wood splint. Our upholstery fabrics are made from quality materials and look great on any custom furniture we make.
Kiln dried hickory is the predominant hard wood we use for the framing of our sofas, loveseats, and benches. We have many rustic designs for you to choose from; bed benches, deacon benches, white birch benches and hall racks. A very popular style settee we make is for a bedroom or hallway and measures 3 ft or 4 ft long. The Bear Mountain Settee is an original design and it is available either upholstered or in hand woven wood splint. We also have a beautiful eastern red cedar six foot bench with cedar slab back and arms that is one-of-a-kind.
